Biography

VIOLET BONES are a four piece indie pop band from Cambridge where they pack an impressive 1000 fans into the Corn Exchange. It's a far cry from four years ago when they were just four school mates who shared a passion for music and girls...
"We made the choice not to go to university as we don't want to end up being twenty-somethings with a load of debt and a useless degree in geography!" says singer Si. Instead, they are gigging up and down the country.
Violet Bones' fierce DIY ethic and constant touring across the UK has earned them performances at In The City and a support slot with punk heroes New York Dolls. Early demos have been supported by BBC Cambridgeshire and a host of fanzines and local radio stations.
Violet Bones are a band of many talents. Guitarist Rik managed to kill his hamster with loud guitar playing and drummer Oz owns a full private pilot's license. But the killer fact for the uninitiated is that bassist Stuart was conceived, so he says, at a Bon Jovi concert!
